Alerus Center policies are based on local, state, federal, and tour mandates. Currently, there are no such mandates, so Alerus Center is not requiring vaccinations, negative tests, or masks for public events. This is subject to change and we will do our best to notify ticket holders and potential buyers should our policy change for any show for any reason.
Masks are recommended in our facility for the unvaccinated, but are not required.
Private events held at Alerus Center may have their own separate policy.
Alerus Center has increased cleaning and disinfecting frequency of all areas and touch points with EPA or NEA approved products.
During the event, Alerus Center will staff additional housekeepers cleaning restrooms, public spaces, and event rooms.
In the ballrooms, the HVAC system will change over the air every 12 minutes. In the meeting rooms, the HVAC sytems cycles through air every 15 minutes.
In the arena the HVAC system will change over the air every 30 minutes. Alerus Center can supply 100% fresh air into the arena. The arena has a total of 11,275,200 cubic feet of air space, and the air handler units can move 340,000 cfm of air.
When air passes over the iWave, ions produced by the device reduce pathogens, allergens, particles, smoke and odors in the air, creating a healthy environment without producing any harmful byproducts.
iWave uses patented technology, called needle-point bi-polar ionization, to create equal amounts of positive and negative ions. When these ions are injected into the air stream, they break down passing pollutants and gases into harmless compounds like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapor (see illustration below).
When the ions come in contact with viruses, bacteria or mold, they remove the hydrogen molecules – without them, the pathogens have no source of energy and will die. The ions also attach to allergens like pollen and other particles, causing them to band together until they are large enough to be caught by your ventilation system’s air filter.
